Some solid fixtures there.

It is interesting that Cas never seem to do bad with broadcasters despite the stick they get for their ground.

Did we ever find out the financials on the deal.

i wasn't regularly reading the boards last year.

I prefer watching Cas home games to most other SL clubs tbf, it looks quite full and always seems to have a decent atmosphere.

I think Cas comes across well on TV.

Interesting to read that between Sky and C4 there will be 76 live games.

Back in the last major deal with Sky they claimed they would be showing over 100 games per year.

Does anyone know if this was ever true?

If we think about Super 8s:

2 games x 22 regular rounds (44)

6 games x 1 Magic (6)

7 games x 1 Bash (7)

3 or 4 x 7 S8's (28 max)

2 x semi finals (2)

1 x MPG (1)

1 x Grand Final (1)

I make that 89. I suppose they had a handful of Cup games, an international and maybe an extra game here and there for bank Holidays, so that could be 100.

When we look at £ value though, it is relevant.

At the moment we probably get more games, across more platforms for less money.

@Dave Tplus catalans home games took you to over 100?

Yes, thanks, thought I must be forgetting something!

Plus for a spell they showed TWP didn't they? Think that was in the championship?

Either way, we have a lot less on Sky nowadays.

It's a shame there's not one every week at the same time as that's how you build the audience into a routine. As a football fan you always know there's an early game on the Saturday on the same channel, etc.

The opening fixture is going to have to go some to beat this year’s Leeds v Warrington opener - great tries, cards, a rare Wire win and a Leeds meltdown at the disciplinary (& by some on this board)

That's because it's an old, traditional gound - unlike modern, identikit, flat pack stadia.

Always looks fairly full too.

Actually, that isn't the reason. Other old traditional grounds look terrible, and other modern stadiums look great.

So the reason you present isn't that at all.

Otherwise Wakefield would have looked great.
