Keep The Faith Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 1.Gledhill 2. manning 3. Walshaw http://tombatley.wordpress.com/ Give it a read..
BullyXL Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 Agreed Manning - some big shots at crucial times White - massive shift in D and 80 mins in the middle, at the same time directing operations Walshaw - another good shift put in, getting back to his pre-injury form All 3 worked tirelessly for the whole game, would like to see the technical stats for this game, particularly the tackle count.
phildog Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 When you've lost it can be easy NOT to choose a MoM cos you think nobody contributed much and likewise when you've won you like to think nobody contributed more than anybody else. HOWEVER to choose a MoM when you've lost but it feels like you've won (hey hang on here! Is Phil about to sound satisfied and to actually congratulate everybody?). YES!! 1-17 were nothing short of magnificent, but having had overnight to look back; Ben White; we often think he's just a passer of the ball but if anyone's going to push his nose through a gap and offer a pass, or be vocal in organising a defence, play in any position, it's him. Never a rip-roarer, but sticks to a job. Gledders; last knockings from him possibly but if so going out on a good season, takes a lot on, great leg strength last night on example lady night was when he had T'aia and Pauli and one more on him yet still carried 'em. Can't separate 3 players here, Meadows creativity, Walshaw massive presence and Manning for, well, being Manning ( before he finally calls it a day will he EVER take a backward step?). How they wouldn't actually be vying for 1st instead of 3rd in any other list.

Hey, calm down Phil. We may have some old stagers in the team but Gledhill isn't one of them. He's only 29 and for a prop that probably means he's just coming to his peak. Props can go on until their late 30s and still do a great job. I for one hope he's re-signing fore next season (and many more). 1
