Great achievement. 

The whole town needs to get behind them and back them. They're representing Barrow at the highest level women's rugby league has to offer. The standard of the York v Leeds grand final was very high so we are going to be very much punching above our weight in super league next season.

Iv got my tin hat ready but I’m not sure other sports dish out medals to teams who haven’t technically won anything,  as brilliant achievement it is the ladies won a game to claim the second promotion place, they didn’t win the league or a separate cup competition.

I agree with this. Can we take it that the men's teams don't get medals either when they win playoff finals for promotion to the Championship?

Fair point i assumed the mens game got medals ? Then its great the club have recognised them.
