Looks great.

On a side note, some very strange games to feature there. If you gave me 5 guesses for each code to win $10,000,000 by correctly guessing just one match of either code this year to feature in a list of top ten Fox streamed fixtures in 2024, I would not have guessed a single one of them.

When they say "streaming audiences" what definition of streaming are they using? Foxtel is predominantly satellite and Kayo is their streaming arm - in my definition of streaming, where I interpret it as "non-broadcast or satellite delivery."

Yeah, I just took an assumption that this was Kayo and Fox on demand figures.

Hardly a post where the other "code" isn`t mentioned, but that`s fumbleball fans for you, like Seven Day Adventists they have a compulsive need to tell everyone how good things are inside the cult.

What are you talking about? There are AFL fixtures included in the very list posted.

Whether you like it or not (I know you don’t, and I know it makes @Exiled Wiganer irate), “the cult” has clear cut, the highest amount of public support for a football code in Australia, making it mainstream and beyond cult status.

And in news away from childish and insecure insults, the NRL continues to navigate this SOO period with a season crowd average of 20,048, leaving the competition well on track to crack a regular season average beyond 20k for the first time ever.

Certainly is looking to be the best NRL season ever and something to be excited about.

That really is a fantastic average so far considering some of the sub 12k games we have had. St George, Cronulla and Wests Tigers have had some shocking crowds that can't help averages.

Cronulla has an excuse. Not so much the other two.

Unless being poo is an excuse.

Crowds often fall off this time of year because of winter weather/temperatures. There has even been talk of snow in Queensland! And it was possibly the coldest Origin game to be held in the “sunshine” state. Also some country games still to play at small grounds.

Interestingly the BVOD audience has grown 10x in 5 years. The way people consume sports is changing rapidly.

I live in the place in Qld where there is talk of snow. It comes around every year but has only happened once in my lifetime (2015).

Yep, very impressive. Even Melbourne had 1/3 the viewers Sydney did, which astounds me as their city or state is just not involved.

Random thought, I'm sure in the past the coverage was split to pre-match / match / post-match shows but this year it wasn't; I wonder if those averages were dragged down by that, and in reality the match average was even better.

Peak Reach numbers were huge:

3RD-MATCH - 5,426,000

2ND-MATCH - 5,192,000

1ST-MATCH - 5,306,000

I could re-read this article all day: https://tvtonight.com.au/2024/07/mega-3-65m-watch-blues-win-state-of-origin-iii.html

Edit: Reach numbers, not peak numbers; near enough anyway...

What makes you think that?

Pre and post match ratings were published as per usual.

Pre-match - Reach 4.074, Average 1.794. Post-match - Reach 3.786, Average 1.616.

My source says otherwise. I haven’t manually calculated from my source either and I don’t know your source, but here is mine.

it will be accurate per my posted figure for another few hours before Raiders v Warriors is added.

It’s not prevalent in my RL discussions. Maybe suggest the same course of action for that other numpty you like who brings “fumble” up far more than I do.

I was simply responding to a post which included coverage of another sport than RL. You then posted a snide comment aimed at me, which included a declaration which turned out to be factually incorrect.

Not sure I have anything more to say about this.

Let’s talk NRL. Something which has crossed my mind for a few weeks now is that we could very well see both our teams in a finals derby. It’s been a while. I reckon a good crowd in Moore Park awaits. A great story too. Coach and son shunned from Sharks. Can big brother be big again.

That being one of so many great storyline’s in this year’s NRL. It’s a great year.

Laziness, mostly. It turned up that way on my TV's guide. Didn't bother to look any further.
