The NRL Round 8 Thread

Recommended Posts

Dragons v Roosters:

A huge margin of victory that surely wasn’t predicted. It was really the one game that split the forum tipsters down the middle too.

In other news…

So the Titans finally win a game and what a scalp to beat the Warriors in NZ. That win has been coming, but none of our tipsters thought it would be in that game.

Demetriou gone by Monday? At Headingley in a couple of weeks? Bunnies just appeared to give up after 25 minutes, but when 5 of your 7 backs would struggle to get into some NSW cup teams, maybe that's not a big surprise.

How long a ban do we think Milne gets? The more I see his attack on Munster's knees the more disgraceful I think it was. I hope he gets at least 4 weeks and preferably 8.

How do Melbourne not  give 50  restarts and penalties away for ruck interference . Their  holding down and laying on each other in the tackle is utterly ridiculous and obvious

I watched on catch-up, so mostly avoided this thread much as the action unfolded.

Are the Warriors reverting to type/tripe, or were the Titans finally capable of an 80-minute performance?

To be fair this has been coming from the Titans in recent weeks. They could (should?) have won their last two games also. Still plenty needing improving but they are now competing. Big test next week though.

Strange seeing the Bunnies running around in what look like Cowboy jumpers...

Yeah, I thought so too. I mentioned on a new thread that I reckon they should be supporting the Army instead of the Navy, seeing as the colours work so well for a marriage between the Bunnies and the Army.
