What more can a limited number of people do, that's the question? I've answered Kev with some suggestions, some of which I offered upnin the past, let's see.

Tough times running a Championship RL club. It is almost an advantage not to win too many games, which would be disheartening for all concerned.

Sad to say RL is no longer an attractive proposition for the casual supporter at any level.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

Speak for yourself BSJ.

I agree it is tough times, but it's been tough times at this level forever and a day.  I get as much enjoyment out of it now as the first time I went,  and long may that continue.

You do understand the expression "casual supporter" I hope. KN is asking you to bring along the mildly interested, not the committed RL fan. Those of us in the latter category are diminishing rapidly and recruiting new fans to the sport is an uphill task.

I've been going 25/30 years and it's always been difficult to attract the casual supporter. You either like rugby league or you don't. Same issues as any other sport that isn't football.  The crowds have been constant all throughout that period and you see the same mix of young and old at every game.

Very much aware it's the town demographic. The life has been sucked out of pubs, local shops....and the Dogs - simply because a large percentage have no perception of their value to the towns economy or  morale. "We don't use them, we have our own, so why bother?"

A simple fact!
