There doesn't seem to be any live feed for tonight's event.

I hope everyone who's going enjoys themselves. It should be a good do with star players from the past being involved.

Can someone post up the numbers for 2025 when they're announced?

Last year they all came up on twitter as they were announced so would think tonight will be no different

Greg Eden has signed for Hunslet.

Strange to think it's only a little over 12 months since he didn't want to sign for us as we'd not made SL and that was the level he wanted to play at.

Based on 2024, he's lucky to get a Championship gig in 2025.

From the limited times I saw him last season, I wouldn't argue with that.

1 to 5 are Aekins, Olpherts, Tuimavave, Hatton, Gale.

Reynolds 6 and Herring 7.

Springer 8, Jubb 9, Beckett 10, Day 11, Boothroyd  12, Addy 13.

14 to 17 are Jones, Akauola, Vuniyayawa and Webb... that's our likely bench when the proper games start in my opinion.

Certainly no pandering to fans'  favourites with Wynne, Hardcastle, Lacans and Jones all not getting starting jerseys. Though the relevance to playing time remains to be seen, we all know for instance Jones will be a key player.

There looks to have been a misunderstanding on Friday night as the official club account initially tweeted about the squad numbers appearing shortly but they were actually uploaded to Twitter/X via @bluewallsvoice , which is the organisation mentioned elsewhere in this forum led by Terry Mullaney that has been doing a great job in providing more information for fans via its Facebook page. I did put on an earlier post on this thread that the Blue Walls Voice account was live tweeting the squad numbers, and I put up numbers 1-17 on here myself...

It's worth pointing out that the club I think only has two full-time members of staff, we're still very much having to watch the pennies and I don't think for example we ever replaced Jac Davies as General Manager when he left about a year ago, like many Championship clubs a lot of roles are being covered by part-time staff or volunteers.

With herring gone do you think the club will look for a half back to replace him, there’s a good one playing Q cup in aus called guy hamilton he’s pretty handy, 88 try assists in the last 3 seasons

I can’t see us recruiting anyone else at this stage, as we have Reynolds, Lacans and Turner.

Might depend on the financial situation at the club, but it's also worth pointing out that we signed Callum Turner to a large extent as half back cover (though he can also play full back) and most of us seemed to think he played very well in pre-season, so once he's fit again he might be next off the cab rank, so to speak.

We still have Reynolds, Lacans and Turner, as well as a couple of others who can fill in adequately switched to half back - we beat Bradford at Odsal last year with Danny Addy playing half back for instance. A lot of Championship clubs only have two recognised halves and Toulouse only have one at the moment.

Crocked, and probably trying to work out if he can get another six-figure salary somewhere. Too much risk of being Johnno Ford version 2 imo.

Only way I’d have Abdul is if he was on match pay only, abit similar to how jack walkers contract is at Sheffield

That’s kind of what I was thinking. Proves himself and he’ll be off, but if that’s the case, it’s been a great deal for both parties.
