Shaping up as a great last 10 minutes.

thoughts on Barba’s confirmed release?

opens the door for Holmes to head to Cows and Barba return to the shire...

Holmes shouldn't be allowed to go anywhere.... Dugan on the other hand.

This week's Storm v Eels game will also be a Kaufusi v Kaufusi affair. Felise Kaufusi will play against Eels debutant Oregon Kaufusi. It might get kaufusing for the commentators.

... on which note ...

One of the rumours doing the rounds is that Ben Barba is in the Storm’s sights to replace the retiring Billy Slater at fullback.

However, Storm say  NO WAY.

They believe Barba has too much baggage in his past and won’t be taking him off St Helens’ hands.

Tyrone Peachey is due to move to Gold Coast Titans next season.

There's the possibility of a slight hitch in the move though. His wife is worried about the move and there's doubts now that she would feel happy moving away from her family.

Dragons news:

Dragons won't be tempted to rush their star five-eighth Gareth Widdop back from injury anytime soon, despite playing for a home final this weekend.

Widdop, who suffered a dislocated shoulder in Round 22, will be kept on ice in order to be ready for their all-or-nothing final in a fortnight’s time.

Media seem to have latched on to the Turbos, Tom and Jake, not being at all happy at Manly over the treatment of trent Barrett.

Reports say they are unsettled.

That's quite a disturbing rumour for Manly, as there's virtually no team that wouldn't want to sign either or both the brothers if they shopped themselves around.

Apparently Sane Tellins want Lachlan Coote as part of the deal. The Cows can't throw Coote in because he's off contract this year. He may still choose to go - who wouldn't want to move from tropical North Queensland to St Helens Megalopolis? The Tomorrowland of the Mersey.

Corey Oates is getting closer to re-signing with the Brisbane Broncos after switching managers mid-season.

Oates parted with management company Gillis Schifcofske Sports Management and has signed on with SFX Australia.

It is said that Canterbury had made an $800,000 offer to him, but that deal is believed to have broken down.

Oates has previously expressed his desire to play in the back-row and it is believed the deal with the Bulldogs would have allowed him to play in his preferred position.

Wayne Bennett had said he would like Oates to remain on the wing if he is to stay at Red Hill.

Trent Barrett and Scott Penn (Manly's owner and Chairman) are not getting on so well during this wind down of Barretts stay at the club .

Penn is apparently not happy with the way Barrett has gone public with his leaving how he has revealed issues with the club.

Barrett who seeking money from the club is reported to have a thick file of emails etc between Penn and him which may not show things in a good light!
