Monkeymagic22
Apparently there's going to be some news about the land at tomorrows event. Fingers crossed that it's good news.
jamescolin
The easiest solution in the short term is to sell the pitch (with planning permission which should be easy) near the new development that is taking place and enhance the cash flow. The rest of the land needs leasing to keep our ownership and a growing valuation. I wonder what the news will be?
Monkeymagic22
Sounds like a good idea Colin, would release some funds but we'd retain most of the other land.

David Shepherd
Don't know how true it is, but I heard a whisper that we have found "investors" too. Hope it's true.

lingard
Probably discussing how we can rent out space at the ground eg behind the stands. Investor talk is probably a new ground sponsor whom have a lot of experience with ground works I demand to have some booze, I want it here and I want it now! elppaxr2i
Taken from fev facebook page 4 phases of business development opportunities around the ground, culminating for the club's centenary in 2021. To get this off the ground much needed revenue is needed, so there will be a development lottery launched First phase is 10 units under the 70m stand Some of next phases is to have units at the side of the clubhouse, thus will enable a 30m extension to the clubhouse which will give bigger facilities. Maureen T-k
There is a company whose interested in leasing some of the land from the club to use as part of a business Im Fev and im proud
jamescolin
As I have said before-Leasing is the answer. Income plus retention of the increasing in value asset. Let us hope that we retain ownership. We have of course to remember Corporation Tax and profits if sales take place. Careful accounting is required that is probably why the enterprise is to be stretched over a period of time. tuutaisrambo
As far as i know as well as the units in the 70m stand the plan is to create 2 blocks of warehouse units back toward the railway behind that stand and the club house and also there will be a plant training business on the land between the indoor training building and the railway with the training pitch staying where it is. PonteBlue
Enjoyed the meeting last night - very positive and encouraging to hear about the developments to the ground / land etc. Good to hear MC's update - clear he is thinking long term with the club. Also, with worrying news about other clubs, how the above initiative will help secure the club's future. John Sharpe, after player of the month awards, spoke about Sunday's game and how the squad was going with a few days to go. His parting shot being to us, the fans, to play our part and be the 18th man. Colton Roche (May) and Bozzy (June) player of the moth awards. Jordan Baldwinson collected Bozzy's award because Bozzy was working and couldn't attend - question was asked 'I wonder how many of Bradford's players would be working a late one that day? Colton and Jordan both said a few words - clear team spirit great and lads gearing up for the challenge ahead. All speakers commented on fantastic support over last few weeks. Time to turn up! jamescolin
If any of these companies thinking of investing are foreign I hope the powers that be make sure they are UK registered. Any problems and we would have to fight them through foreign courts.

Am I missing something here? Just got back from Cornwall so couldn't make the meeting, but I was there a couple of years ago when exactly the same thing was announced. If its been announced again though it probably means its much closer to coming to fruition.
jamescolin
Probably depends who the potential backer was Steve.
