I said it after yesterdays game I would be happy with a better defensive performance and kicking game and build on that against a quality side, if we get a better scoreline than 42-12 from yesterday its a step in the right direction.

Could be looking at our biggest home crowd of the season on Monday, surpassing the 2,518 against Toronto. Widnes will bring a fair few over. Hopefully we will have a few players returning. Call to Knights fans to get there in number and cheer the lads on in what will be one hell of a tough encounter.

Beer and York Knights. Proof the God loves us and wants us to be happy. 🍺🏉

They were saying at the cup game they had already sold 800 so you would expect 1000? On top of our usual 1500 and some due to it being nice weather/school holidays and well its the Knights! Won't be easy i am sure but be another great day cant wait!

Over the Fev performance and need to move on to Widnes who will start as strong favourites, but if we can get our enthusiasm back and tackle like we have done for the last 18months we will have a chance of winning the game. The supporters need to play there part and get behind the team like the Fev fans did yesterday.

Up the Kneets..you can beat them! And we'll avenge your loss to Fev..

Looks like a great day, can see there being a big crowd - 2744 is my prediction with 1200 from Widnes.

Can't wait for today's game and if Widnes are bringing 1200 i can see the crowd been over 3000 as the York public tend to come out for the big games in both sports

One thing is for sure, we are underdogs, but there’s nothing like underdog status to bring the best out of the team as well as the Knights faithful. Promises to be a noisy one. Would be great to get over 3,000.

2400 as the york public is great at turning their backs when they lose a few

sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward

Around 600 Widnes fans expected based on pre match sales of 400.

Which York players are unavailable?

Aye up Deano,

We lost two games we probably expected to lose. Granted, the injury situation could be a whole load better but there’s so much to be positive about.

- We support the Knights and live in a wonderful city.

- We probably never dreamed, 3 years ago, that we could be getting crowds over 2,000 let along averaging that amount.

- We have a new stadium on the horizon, at some point!

- BC is a decent place to watch rugby league with a fantastic playing surface until then, even though it is falling apart.

- We are fourth in the table.

- We have one of the best owners/coach in the game.

- Many of us are looking forward to a trip to the south of a France this coming weekend.

- Then there’s Toronto!

Chin up.

Half time 0-6. We are doing OK here and should probably have scored just before the half, not sure what the ref didn't like about it.

The bad news is that Widnes look quicker, bigger and stronger than us. Going to be a tough 2nd half but we're still in it.
