ironically - the entire "main" cast of "one foot in the grave" are all still alive including mrs warbouys (the amazing doreen mantle)

David John Moore Cornwall perhaps better known as the author John le Carre.

I was surprised whilst looking at a local charity shops books to find a Carre novel I hadn’t heard off. Evidently the gentleman is still alive and still writing at 89 years of age. I’m looking forward to reading “Agent Running in the Field”. He wrote it last year and if the reviews are to be believed it’s up there with his best.
