Chris22
Kind of off the point, but when was it that we got rid of the green 'blood bin' card?

Sports Prophet
I’m more satisfied with the later part of the article that notes there can no longer be a one on one strip, where players drop off the tackle. As to the green card… what on earth is it with the Brits requiring a card to demonstrate everything. I’m surprised there isn’t an orange card to show for knock ons, blue cards for forward passes, black cards for offside and white cards for missed tackles. A two minute off the pitch period for players requiring medical attention. Why not? Stops feigning injuries and gives players that do need treatment a suitable period to be safely assessed. Does it encourage players to get back in the defensive line when potentially concussed. Maybe. The NRL do a pretty good job of ensuring players that appear to have suffered concussion to be removed from the pitch, even if the original decision from the trainer and/or player is to stay on the pitch. Davo5
LMS is going to be spending even more time standing on the sidelines & will Coote even make it onto the pitch for KR.

Bit like Mellor staggering about v Leeds last week, going off and then returning 2nd half. Those days?

Saint Toppy
Long overdue !! For years cynical players have feigned injury to get the game stopped to give their team an advantage (or at least take away an advantage from the opposition) 2 minutes is about right in striking a balance between having the game stopped for a genuine injury that the player can recover from and carry on playing and the ones who are 'cheating' to gain an advantage. Coote is the nearest thing we have to a soccer player in SL.....amazed nothing could be done about it last year.... any sort of RFL review of any of his Lazarus style resurrection from the dead?
