Something else happened in Huddersfield on this day many years ago i seem to recall...

Anyway onto the game, we came back to beat them here a few weeks ago, we haven't been playing well recently but they seem to have named some youngsters so i expect us to win - we've only lost 1 at home all season.

Fages is out so imagine it will be Tui/Pryce partnering Russell, personally i'd have Pryce there rather than full back.

We should be too strong for them but i said that about Leeds

Sounds like the Warrington academy starlets have outperformed and out-enthused their senior colleagues. Provides a bit of hope for next season, with a 2023 squad that will contain plenty of homegrown talent with a smattering of NRL experience. Just hope that Powell cam finally replicate what he’s done at other clubs now he has his own squad. Otherwise he’ll be out after about 5 games.

Six tries apiece. Shame about the kicking, but it’s Hayes’ first game so a bit of pressure in front of his first crowd away from home.

The scoreline suggests that the highlights will be fun to watch.

I don’t want to rehash old arguments but I’ve no doubt at all he’ll be a big success in SL , making and scoring lots of tries . I never saw why if Field could rip it up a far more advanced NRL player with a 1 in 2 try record couldn’t . What he gives will massively outweigh what he’s weak in . That’s my view anyway , SL will suit him

Powell hasn't had long with him yet though. Give him a full pre season and we'll turn him into a usual Warrington plodder. We ruined Andrew johns in just 3 games, it's what we do!!

What a weird game that was, we conceded on the 1st set then battered them, put the cue on the rack at half time and it nearly came back to bite us - huge credit to Wire they took advantage of it and it looks a lot closer than it was in the end, again we blew numoerous chances through bad decisions.

We had a chance to be ruthless in that 2nd half and put out a message ahead of the play-offs but stumbled to an unconvining victory in the end.

I think Wire had the smallest player in the games history playing today, thought he was the mascot !!

I'd save your money, 3 of them were walk ins after he caught wild passes out wide from the Giants.

Which game were you watching? Only one of Dufty’s tries was as such. The other three were support and a kick chase.

Also, 3 Hudds scores came from an uncharacteristically weak game under the high ball from young Thewlis.
