Its a pretty poor state of affairs, yet it also smacks of some really poor organisation.

Samoa shouldn't be anywhere near the England RL team in the immediate aftermath of Saturday. England should have either been out, or Samoa at a different hotel.

From the sounds of comments throughout this world cup, this doesn't seem to have been England's first night on the beers either.

I have no idea why James Bentley was anywhere near that hotel.

Wonder what the score is here, was Bentley sticking up for the Samoans if hes been fighting with Radley.

Why was Bentley there, why were England and Samoa in the same hotel and whst were the English players doing

We'll have to wait until the facts are confirmed.

But Bentley being a tool is the most likely outcome.

That article does have a heavy amount of BS about it.

That’s a strange way of looking at it.

Yes, because an Ireland player with no association with the England team should be knocking about the England hotel.

Afraid I'm going to have to go back to my Radley is an Australian stance as opposed to my Radley is proud of his English heritage stance when we were winning.

I’ve absolutely no idea what happened, but you could imagine Bentley saying something about this issue, ironically after representing Ireland

Nowt wrong with them being in the same hotel, but yes the rest is ridiculous. That said I’m not embarrassed, only those involved should be.

Just seeing his mates for a drink probably.

Teams from the same tournament shouldn't be in the same hotel mate.

There isn’t anything there to suggest that the RLWC/England had anything to do with the “double booking” and that most England players had moved on, with a few (maybe the Australian based players) staying on.

Bentley will have played with the Saints and Leeds contingents of the England squad and can’t really be blamed for going out with mates/teammates if it’s not the England hotel any longer. He can be blamed for getting into an altercation and he’s an idiot for doing that (as is Radley).

The other two England players fighting as well deserve naming, as all the flak is going to go to Bentley and Radley, when two others are equally as mindless and stupid.

Knocking on peoples doors is just childish.

It doesn’t say anywhere that they were officially both staying there. Most England players left “camp” and some stayed on at that hotel, this may have been their choice rather than The RFL’s/RLWC.

Why? Serious question, I don’t understand what’s wrong with that?

Indeed, but I don't think we will see a scenario where this happens again in future, just before a final.

Just the potential for aggro, and professional teams and athletes on camp want their own space. Knock a door running on the Samoans was tame. Tour camps are a fun experience, but not one to be shared with others outside the team.

They don't even stay in the same hotel for Challenge Cup Finals.

Isn’t that on the hotel though. Can they enforce something like that?
