Excolt 1 Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 It’s saying on twitter that the Oldham game on 7th April is now 7.30 kick off not 3 o’clock
Jimmy DoNut Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Quick message to Hornets fans planning to come to Oldham on Friday evening - a bigger than usual crowd is expected due to Oldham's recent takeover, so do try and arrive early to guarantee entry. Cheers.
moorside roughyed Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 It'll be interesting to see how many show up.
sheddingswasus Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Evening all, Oldham have announced today that all concessions (65 and over) will be £10 going forward. Looking forward to seeing you all Friday
glemiln Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Hoping it improves very quickly for Hornets……12-0 for Oldham after 11 mins! Not yet… 18-0…..spoke too soon 24-0….too soon again 30-0, but thankfully now 30-6!!!
glemiln Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 56-18…..a big day for Oldham too much for Hornets; but seemingly some fight back. A long season?
Anita Bath Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Dont we get points for winning the third quarter? Dreading the prospect of Oldham going up leaving us as Lancashire's only representative in the duffers division.
Athleticgrounds Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 I said before, this match would define our season. Unfortunately we are now, after 2 heavy defeats, in the Cornwall, Skolars, Hurricanes group. Hunslet held Dewsbury to 6 points and Crusaders held Workington to 2 points. After the promising Law Cup display, it's really gone downhill.
glemiln Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 We meet Crusaders, Skolars and Cornwall in May; two at home may help! Dale is winning again too.
LittleboroRoughyed Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 What’s happened since you played us in pre-season? In that game you were the better team with a strong, aggressive pack who dominated for most of the game. Last night, apart from maybe 10 mins, whilst there was no lack of effort, the forwards were passive. It really didn’t feel like a derby. Good luck for the rest of the season (apart from the obvious).
glemiln Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 https://youtu.be/vxsZcR9BOIE Found on YouTube, for the Hornets brave, a very good vlog by “TonyTalk Uk”….from this I agree with LittleboroRoughyed. We shall have to improve considerably, especially in defence, for Workington and beyond.
Anita Bath Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 The revolving door on team selection cannot help. Three more debutants on Friday. No idea whether these were forced (injuries or the now ubiquitous unavailable) or injuries but we have used a lot of different players in a short period of time.
Athleticgrounds Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 Apparently our previous coach went to social media with laughing emojis at our result. Something I find very sad, he's not only mocking management and players but also many Hornets supporters who did not agree with his dismissal. It's changed my opinion of the man.
