The problem with this is that it puts a really quite specific set of conditions on the finalists.  When Wire made it in 2009 it was their first final for 19 years and their first win for almost 3

Great defensive effort from Leigh, Saints were dreadful in attack... but the simple fact is that Leighs second try was illegal.

What a performance. Absolutely fantastic from Leigh. They completely deserve that and I'm delighted for them and their fans.

I’m not sure what they’re moaning about. Hurrell should have been pinged for a knock on and Asiata for not being square. There’s been no six agains and we didn’t see a replay of the “knock on” Leigh appealed for early on. I don’t think Kendall’s done much wrong so far.

I decided not to mention the second swinging arm from Knowles that went unpunished as well but hey ho.

I just think Chris Kendall has been advised to cut down on the penalties he dishes out, that's all.

Bearing in mind the possibilities of tomorrow's result, Id rather have the best team win today regardless.

If that rule were brought in then surely it would only be for foul play.  No penalty was given.
