Great defensive effort from Leigh, Saints were dreadful in attack... but the simple fact is that Leighs second try was illegal.

The video ref claimed it was shoulder to shoulder on the first angle then a second angle showed it blatantly wasn't. 

Unfortunately referees rather than admit they said something wrong tend to go all in on the initial call. When the angle which showed he was basically pushed out the way for the 2nd time the video ref decided to emphasise it was a fair challenge. 

On another note Welsbys positioning was absolutely shocking which will probably go unnoticed.

I thought it just had to be contact with the shoulder only, and not a push.

5. Shoulder Charge If two players are running side by side near to and towards the ball it is permissible for one to charge the other with the shoulder.

No one is calling this a shoulder charge, he shepherded him off the ball. Stonewall penalty.

The referee, video referee, BBC commentary team including ex an international player and coach all thought it was a try, so that's good enough for me.

They usually are pretty confident they've scored to be fair.

Yes, fair enough.

I have just been back to have a look and I thought it was before the referee called time off but it was after.
