Despite what some folk believe the decision is not IMG's to make. It is the RFL but with the approval of the other SL clubs, who will reject the suggestion.

One things for sure finishing 5th and having an indifferent season gives the impression that it's a marathon not a sprint. Dogs were in 2nd for what 3 weeks but I'm sure only the bulls and fev were actually of the belief they could get promo or at least deserved it
