WIns for Hunslet, Oldham and Rochdale.

The L1 game of the weekend will be Midlands Hurricanes v North Wales Crusaders. Hurricanes hitting good form (apart from a surprise loss to Cornwall) vs Crusaders who have lost their way with a series of losses.....however, I think Crusaders will have targeted this game and have enough firepower to get a win....IF they finish their sets well. Some improvement needed but I'm confident Crusaders can pull of a narrow win.

I'll be driving up from Cardiff after watching 4 Masters RL games in the Cardiff Arms Park on Saturday. 3 lots of Armed Forces/ Armed Forces Associates games followed by Wales Masters RL v Ireland Masters RL ...should be a cracking day of rugby league

Another cracking game between two very closely matched teams at Alexander Stadium.

1-1 between the Caines and Cru this season with another home for Cru yet to come.

With 10 minutes to go before kick off, and the weather apps predicting electrical storms to continue till early evening, the game at the Alexander Stadium was nearly called off by the officals. Enough rain fell in 5 minutes to refloat the ark but the clouds eventually passed over and we got going 30 minutes late.

The signs were good when the handsome chap from the supporters club sucessfully handed over the matchball to club captain Matty Welham without dropping it.

It was a hard-fought game against 2 well-matched sides but Hurricanes got enough things right today to secure the points. Big result for me/us as it has been 7 years since we last beat Crusaders and that has been hurting.

MoM for me was Dave Hewitt but plenty of others were in contention.

A really battling performance from Thunder in difficult conditions at the GIS this afternoon.

Can't fault the effort or commitment, frustratingly we had chances and made errors at key times.

Rochdale definitely knew they'd been in a game.

Good win for Hunslet, although the scoreline did not do justice to how well Cornwall played. With better discipline,it could have been closer.

Shout out to the female referee who was excellent.

Just home from Birmingham after a long drive from Cardiff to Birmingham then home to North Wales. A fair assessment of the game, YT

Was Hewitt no 17? If no I'd put in a shout for him as MotM.

Impressive thunder storm at the stadium today!! Our first time inside the stadium proper and I was very impressed with the set up - although the lack of low/no alcohol beers at the stadium bar could do with being addressed.

A well deserved win for the 'Canes today; the looked like they wanted it more and were the better team. Crusaders looked lost at times and our enthusiasm seemed to have evaporated with the rain. Well done on the win and looking forward to our next encounter to see if we can make a better fist of it next time.

Kieran Moran was our 17 and he did have a good game. Dave Hewitt was 7.

The thing that pleased me most today was that we defended brilliantly after making mistakes. You normally punish us for those (I think you did once today) and it has often been the difference between the 2 sides.

The catering offering is out of our hands, being controlled by Birmaingham City Council and their stadium management I believe. There won't be draught beer with the bars not open enough times during the week but the range of cans and bottles should be much better.

On the other hand they seve a good hotdog and the chips are excellent!
