Not many would welcome him back after his antics.......heard all the rumours yesterday  re Jonty, but find it  disrespectful to Muzza who's our coach now!

These are all rumours, let’s concentrate on ourselves and the current season, the current coach and our players are not the greatest in the world but by god they stick together, lose together and win together, I am not sure bringing in 5 from down the road would be good for the harmony among the squad, there are some very good players at Whitehaven and some would definitely improve our squad, Teare would be well down my list, he couldn’t wait to get down the road, presumably for the guarantee of a big pay packet (That went well) when things got really tough at Town.

Like most Townies, I hold no affection for Whitehaven RLFC. Having said that, I hate this flip flopping of hard times between both clubs. It looks like it’s havens turn now but it could be us next year. It would be great for both teams to be in a position of strength in the Championship but with us obviously miles ahead of them 😎 Neither club would benefit from the demise of the other IMO, unfortunately it’s looking like they need us and we need them. 🤷‍♂️

Think you will find Teare was left with no option but to leave, would you work for nothing for weeks and weeks and your boss wouldn't answer the phone? at the end of the day, they all go to semi pro clubs for one reason, CASH.

Well that went well for him, he must have been one of the lucky ones, in my book loyalty means a lot, the other players took the knock in wages to maintain the clubs ability to stay alive ensuring a longer term of stability.

Just heard Callum Philips is returning, surely someone is having a laugh. 🤷‍♂️🙈

Callum could and should have been playing for us but nobody would pay the 4k for his op . He would have been fit to play 2 weeks after the op

That’s a huge amount of cash to find for clubs like ours, it’s probably the weekends gate money, it’s a nightmare 🙈

All the rumours are coming from supporters putting two and two together and coming up with what they think what's happening  .   None of the  clubs  have said anything about Jonty's future.  The rumour going round before the latest one , was that Jonty was taking a break from coaching at the end of this season . The only ones being disrespectful are the ones putting these rumours about .

Well said. You've got to earn your stripes before you act like billy big balls. He wasn't as good a player as he was supposed to be.

It's a forum to have a craic about these things. Rarely smoke without fire

I don't blame the players for getting the best deal at whatever club they can, but I preferred it years ago when both clubs had loyal players, nowadays the amount of chopping and changing teams is ridiculous

This is what I was getting at in a previous post. It’s a shame we didn’t hear a peep from haven fans when the likes of Teare. Cus and Doran headed south to the wreck. 🙄🤷‍♂️

Big injury hasn't played all season would cost 10k for op apparently

Now that would be worth it, of all the players that moved to haven, he was the only one I was gutted about.

Where do these figures come from? Surely no operation should cost this much.

They where figures mentioned when we where in toulouse.  Nothing on nhs but a massive waiting list . They where the prices going private

Seems a bit steep, a private hip replacement wouldn’t cost that 🤔
