Gaz Gale needs to work on his tackling technique, that’s the second time he’s been pulled up this season. Does another and we will be unlikely to see him again this season.

I think other players need to grow to 6ft 5 plus so he can tackle them normally 😂😂

Season long loan??

😂😂 Don't hold your breath

Don't see why not. Hkr would need a good few backrowers injured. Better to be playing championship than reserves. Any idea why it might not be true? Honest question cos I'm certain you know more than me. Cheers.

The way the game is being run, we could end up with tig and pass.

we lose a class winger for an indiscretion, NOT a deliberate attack to the head.

The world has gone mad. ?

4 games no wonder I'm losing interest in this sport.

Some SL players have been up for contact with players after passing or kicking and they have only been fined £250.There should be a distinction about accidental contact and deliberate.

Yeah, sorry, you missed the obvious joke.

DR, loans, ins and outs at every club on a weekly basis. Reynolds joins Fev for the 3rd time this season. Our other scrum half signed for Swinton this year, will finish it with us. Maybe. Then he'll be at Widnes. Players just come and go. Sign a contract for next year then leave anyway.

Wallace is on his 4th or 5th club this season alone. Good luck with that.

Sorry for being naive. Only the 2nd player we've loaned this season and no DR so it wasn't obvious. Don't make assumptions. I'd rather they hadn't stated season long in the press release if this is the case. Who are Wallace's other 2 Clubs btw? Whitehaven, Doncaster and I'm guessing Fev?

The lower league players always get bans no matter what the incident. Not sure if the referees report and/or videos of the game are used to decide if they are to be charged. It depends on who you play for !!

What's not obvious? Even if you don't do DR this year, you must be aware of the chaos and confusion it causes to clubs and the Championship as a competition.

Nobody blames the players. But Wallace is just one of dozens of examples of players moving around regularly and having their development impacted. He may be with you for the rest of 2024. Good luck. If he goes really well, he may be recalled or sold to another club. If he goes badly you may not want him and he may end up in League 1.

Btw, in his list of clubs, you missed the actual club he's contracted to play for in 2024.

Honestly, wouldn't surprise me if KR have completely ruined that guy's career. It was a strange move as he wasn't even a regular starter for us. Just stank of an SL club thinking "there's a player that could make it" lets sign him without any sort of plan of how to develop him. DR and these short term 2 week loans are horrendous for young players development. Imagine being in your early 20s and having your places of work Hull, Doncaster, Featherstone and Whitehaven in the space of 6 months. Plus getting to know all those different groups and their players. His head must be scrambled.

Jack Walker was another one. He signed for us because of his horrific injury record. He was out for 12 weeks with another hamstring injury. He just started to string a few appearances together and look in good form when KR decided to sign him to be a back up fir 6 months. Then to FC, again as aback up.  Since then he's been in and out of both sides and can't even get in ahead of a Hull academy product.  All he needed was a run of games get some confidence and be in a position to be an SL sides number 1 full back.

DR wants scrapping and loans should be minimum of 4 weeks and there's a limit of hoe many clubs you can play for in a season. If they don't want to send someone out that long then it can pad out the reserves. It's not rocket science

SL don't do common sense - just what suits them.

I agree. Some fans are quick to jump into victim mentality mode whenever one of our players gets banned but it's worth familiarising ourselves with the current sentencing guidelines. Any forceful contact with the head means a charge ranging between Grade D and F and an automatic visit to the Tribunal. This is on the back of the well-publicised multiple litigation with over 100 players starting legal action against the RFL because of brain injuries sustained whilst playing the sport. We might not like the new guidelines, but that's where we are and many sports are having to take action because of these looming lawsuits.

We all know Gaz Gale isn't a remotely dirty player, but he clatters people when he tackles them, usually across the chest, and under the current guidelines if you get that wrong and hit the opponent on the head you're looking at a big ban. Was his tackle forceful, yes it was, did he make contact with the head, yes he did (the Whitehaven player failed his head injury assessment and missed last week's game against Toulouse as a result).

That's a Grade D to F offence and his ban at 4 games came down on the lighter side of Grade E. It's the same whether you're a SL player or Championship/League 1 - for instance Liam Watts and Michael McIlorum both received a 4-game ban for similar offences earlier tin the season as did Keighley's Kyle Kesik this week.

Clearly you were right about Turner. Presumably Gorman to full back then with Aekins continuing at half back. Would think as I mentioned earlier Warren will fill the other back row position. Good to see Jack Arnold back in contention, we are a bit short of bodies at the moment.

All things considered, that's a decent line up.

fevnut has published ‘Fev v Doncaster: 21 man squads’.

We find it quite difficult to see the potential shape of the teams in the form in which the clubs publish the squads, so we choose to use guesswork based on last week’s teams to set them out in the traditional manner running from fullback to loose forward and then subs.

We also include a chart showing the leading scorers for both teams.
