When do we find out the SL teams for next season based on IMG ratings?

It's an argument that has been done to death.  The model for better or worse is basketball in Canada.  Even with very good professional players, they were hopeless internationally.  NBA expansion into Canada was a failure initially, as it was a minority sport at best.  The Grizzlies moved to Memphis.  Toronto got hold of Vince Carter and having a good, marketable young star helped.  Winning helped.

However, without local players, it's just footsteps in the sand.  MLR shows just how hard finding domestic players is.

I think one of the reasons MLR are having trouble recruiting domestic players is, to quote an American friend of mine, that the game involves ''too much chaos''. Rugby League engenders far less chaos and gives players more opportunities to run and carry the ball, which is what Rugby players want.

Well, MLR also has an established club, high school and even college system to draft from and they keep coming up empty.

Maybe they could make the announcement in a Big Brother style where the captain for each team is put in to the house and then over 3 or 4 days teams could either be eliminated or given the green light. I did like the idea of a more Celeb Get Me Out Of Here theme but I think BB lends itself better to having a debate after elimination where we could get the Chairman of each team interviewed which could add to the drama.

If IMG have anything about them they will make this happen.
