Away at Wakefield

I'm planning to go to Wakefield V York as a neutral on Sunday, but as most of the rugby I've watched in the last couple of years has been at York I thought I'd probably stand with the York fans - I've got to recognise a few faces.

I just wanted to check which stand most are likely to be in before buying a ticket. I assume it'll be the open (west) terrace?

To be fair we are making a fair fist of it apart from first ten minutes, Hingano is walking a bit of a tightrope with his tackling technique, but you can’t knock his endeavour. We have not been too far away, and could have picked up,a couple more tries ,  the Knights have been made to work had though, it could come down to the difference in fitness as the game goes on. let’s see what the second half brings.

After the first ten minutes that was an incredible defensive effort. No complaints with that performance at all (apart from Lineham kicking the ball away on tackle 1 in good ball 😅). Wakefield out of the way and still in the top 6, beat Sheffield and Fev and there's every chance we finish 4th! ⚔️

Apart from about 10minutes in the first half thought we more than matched Wakefield and it shows how as a team we have come compared to the 2 games against Wakefield at the beginning of this season when both games were over by half time.

Once they got up to speed after a slow start I thought they matched Wakey pretty well. A bit of luck and we might have had a couple more tries. Even Lineham's rush of blood, kicking on the first tackle, wasn't a million miles off. At least it forced a goal line drop out. At that late stage of the game it was going to take something unorthodox to get over the line. I didn't think discipline was much of an issue either for a change, it'll be interesting to see the penalty count. At least I can say I enjoyed the game considering we lost which is not something I normally feel after a loss. I even thought Mr Vella had a decent game, nearly faultless. ( I did say "nearly"!)

I thought we put in a superb shift yesterday, apart from the 1st 10-15 mins. Mash must be pleased with the effort the boys put in. Couple of balls bouncing the other way and we may have had another try or 2. What we now MUST do is back up yesterday with big performances against Sheffield and Fev. Its in our hands as to where we finish the regular season, lets go win both games and push on it to the play offs with confidence. Up the bloody Kneets.
