Well its a home game so it should but I've no idea how you would work that out. I wouldn't be a fan of just trying to pretend a quadruple header is the crowd for the Wigan game either. If its excluded and the game not counted in average then so be it but that seems unfair too when it is normally one of the largest attended home games too.

Yeah there should be some recognition to be fair . I was more wondering whether this would be something that some clubs would consider for the future though ie move a stand alone home game to a bigger venue/overseas in an attempt to up your 3-year average , especially if you are borderline 7.5k average . Could be a Win-Win if it takes RL to a previuosly untargeted area .

I can see why it may be important in that scenario. Luckily Wigan were the best supported team last season and are way the 7.5k cut off so any perceived fiddling won't be an issue here.

Agree entirely. Let's not just have 6 games, let's have a festival, a party, an EVENT!

That would require some actual forward planning, investment, implementation and actual leadership. Not much evidence unfortunately fron previous events.

Why would you market an event starting 6 months out with initiatives, collaborations and not only target the local Newcastle population but also the wider tv audience …. When you can just give it a token mention the couple of weeks run up to it like the international tests 🤔

How uncanny is that with the Super League Magic weekend being played in Newcastle, UK.

Now just need the RFL to schedule the rumoured War of the Roses revival at McDiarmid Park next year.

(There are multiple levels to this reference. Well done if you understood it.)

I live in Tynemouth and never knew about the Dorset Arms but looking at it it seems mad as it's a hotel in a nice a nice old council estate...aVillage you got the Spa.
