So prove him wrong, show this proof you have they lied.

Easy. If the finances are in order at the Red Devils why do they want an advance of their TV money?

Which other Super League clubs have asked for an advance of their TV money?

What date are their accounts from? Do you understand the difference between cash and profit/ loss?

Your original post implied that they lied with their accounts. Unless you have some evidence to support I would stay well away from those types of statements.

You keep ignoring the fact that IF the finances were in order why did they ask for an advance of their TV money?

They have a chashflow issue pretty easy to understand.  Not to say they lied to img even though they got a very low score for finance

So no proof that they lied then, just conjecture. They received barely any points at all for finances, which seems to fit their report.

Your words "They have a cash flow problem"

So in your opinion when will they sort out this cash flow problem, or will it continue all the while they are in Super League?

Apparently now the stadium deal has gone through that should improve

So how long in your opinion will it take to sort out these financial problems as it hasn't happened overnight?

Will it be enough to improve their cash flow problems, or will we still be talking about it next this time next year?

Who knows but it certainly stops it being so big. The real positive is there’s 3 potential owners in talks go buy the club

So as a Red Devils fan how long do you think they will have to continue to have advance TV money before they can stand of their own 2 feet without ADVANCE TV MONEY?

I'm not a red Devils fan, I also don't have the ability to see into the future.

Salford scored really, really, really badly on the financial aspects of the grading criteria.

They made up for that in every other area.

That is how this system works, and how the sport wanted this system to work.

Without a handout they couldn’t pay their players, within weeks of IMG’s assessment, which included an assessment of their financial standing. You have to have players in a professional sporting competition. All the TikToks in the world can’t compensate for that. So, the outcome of this system would have been an 11 team league, had the clubs - whose precious time was spent sorting this out, when they could have been working on their own clubs - not given them a handout.

These aren’t my opinions, they are facts.

Ah, says you, but this is a great test, which worked exactly as planned!

Mine is that it would be a bad thing for a club to be unable to field a team, and therefore that either the test is rubbish or Salford lied.

We could of course settle this by asking the clubs whether they were concerned about teams being able to play rugby league at all. My money is that the reimagining they thought IMG were promising didn’t involve an 11 team Super League. Though, in fairness, a sporting competition designed around media hits rather than sport does qualify as a reimagining.

I see that the Premier League has dropped IMG and gone in-house for media production.

After 20 years.

Would you say the last two decades have been good or bad for the income of top level soccer in England?

I agree with your point 100%. IMG are very good indeed at media rights work. It is also good that the Premier League now has enough talent to bring this in house. League in the UK is many many years away from that.

If Salford had gone into administration, they would have been relegated.

This system doesn't test how things might be in the future, it tests them at the moment they are viewed. That means it can't give Castleford an amazing stadium as much as it can't give Salford an administration before it has happened.

Salford scored really very badly on finances. The system is not set up to exclusively score finances however, and Salford have, just, been able to make up the difference in the other categories. That is by design, at the behest of the sport which wanted on field to remain the most important aspect.
