Dog forever Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Shame it's an early kick off. Lots of folks work on good Friday , sure it will affect attendance . 1
RogerT Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Probably but that's how the cookie crumbles, it will give more time to have a few.
phildog Posted April 15 Posted April 15 (edited) A chance to hold our mid-table spot. This should be a 10/12 point victory. Could be that if other results go our way we could even climb a couple of places! Edited April 15 by phildog

il cattivo Posted April 18 Posted April 18 poor poor poor result. we need a new fullback. simple as that. 2 "you never win a game unless you beat the guy in front of you. The score on the board doesn’t mean a thing. That’s for the fans. You’ve got to win the war with the man in front of you. You’ve got to get your man." - Vince Lombardi.
nineoil Posted April 18 Posted April 18 We looked like a ragbag today . No cohesion in possession , far too many missed tackles in defence , zero ideas in attack . Overall , it looked as though the Players needed introducing to each other ! We were very flat ! Hunslet deserved their win because they were more enthusiastic than us even though we could have won the game had we taken our kicks !!! I do not envy Mokko because he has one hell of a job getting the best out of this threadbare squad. He is a good coach but with very limited resources !
The scrim reaper Posted April 18 Posted April 18 (edited) Where to start! Totally blown out the water first 20 mins, then with 10 mins to go we decide to show some urgency! Hunslet started off like a house on fire we looked like we were still in bed, Hunslet stand off ran us ragged, even when we got back into the game first half10- 16 we let them in again almost immediately, we didn't seem to have any energy someone said there was a bug in camp! That said why oh why do we not do anything different in attack we are so regimental in our play no individuality and so predictable! Hunslet put us under loads of pressure with their kicks first half, I don't understand why woods was rushing his kicks with 7.5 mins to go, and finally on our last chance of the game leaky although played well 2 metres out doesn't play the ball criminal, we got what we deserved today nothing! phildog Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Leave it out with new fullback argument, he joins in where he should, takes 99% of bombs, runs back well, hits the vast majority of his tackles, what else, oh btw he's top try-scorer as well.....he's doing a hell of a lot more work than someone else regularly mentioned and he is a halfback after all. Who put out that brilliant pass to put Alfie in last week (top of a lot more)? Are we suggesting that he's the one player that needs replacing as a cure-all for performances like today?
Batley Bob Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Not in the league games he isn't 3. Joe Burton 3 Jack Render 3 Brad Martin 2. Jayden Myers 2. Elliot Kear 2. Robbie Butterworth 1. Joe Arundel 1. Alfie Dean 1. Josh Woods 1. Alistair Leak 1
GRIMKNIGHTS Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Very poor today. In a real dog fight to stay in this division this year. Threadbare squad and same repetitiveness when in the oppositions 20. Just something different. Same old plays. Used to enjoy watching Batley but after today. Think I might pass my season ticket onto someone else. 1

One thing I would say about him is his positional play, he seems to miles away from the ball at times and doesn't read what's happening in front of him! 1

He got caught out three times at least today… All 3 of them led to tries http://tombatley.wordpress.com/ Give it a read..

You wasn’t to me Yes we had injuries we aren't the only club to ever have a crisis… the 17 selected was good enough time to say goodbye to the old stagers this year can’t carry them anymore something has to change… Kear picked over dean is a strange one for me… http://tombatley.wordpress.com/ Give it a read..

phildog Posted April 19 Posted April 19 We DON'T have Hooley, we have what we have, he does well enough for me. And here's me thinking that I'm the one who complains....
