Having carefull analysed the runners and riders for the US Presidential election, I have come to a conclusion.

Now I'm putting a bed together from Warrington sponsor Bensons. What a kerfuffle.

Now it's too hot for the trains

It wouldn't really surprise me to find out they have a boilerplate delay notice that says trains are delayed because conditions are "too normal". <_<

My train commute into London today is far quieter than normal. It's tonight's journey home that I'm not looking forward to.

Had to take the cat to.the emergency vet last night, kept her in overnight on iv fluids and referred her this morning to our normal vet for observations. My pocket is now £400 lighter.

Thank Christ for pet insurance. With any luck I might get my wembley funds back before the trip!

My evening commute is even quieter. Fewer than 1/3 of seats taken in a carriage that's usually full to standing only. It's quieter than the Christmas week on the train.

Very appropriate I'd have thought, given the history of catholic priests (alleged) propensity for that type of thing.

I travelled in to the park by underground yesterday, Picadilly line and Central line, both emptier than at similar times on a "normal" working day, traffic is way down as well.

Today, I took my granddaughter to buy her a new secondary school uniform. Amazing how quickly those eleven years have passed.

Girlfriends Birthday today, going to be the hottest day of the year, so we are heading for the beach at Cooden, as it's likely to be quieter than Hastings or St Leonard's, she was talking about going to Camber, but I, thankfully, talked her out of that one as it will be very crowded.

Getting fed up with the weather forecasts. They forecast rain and misery only for it to be a nice day.
