Not songs sung specifically for RL (of which there aren't many), but songs which may mention RL or have a RL connection. Sort of. That is to say these may or may not be the actual lyrics wink.gif

1. Diana Ross - Chain Reaction

The 1st chorus includes the line:-

'I'm on a journey for the inspiration,
Tell Eddie Waring there ain't no salvation'

2. Bros - I owe you Nothing

2nd verse starts with the line

'I'll watch you Salford,
With no feelings, no feelings at all'

The line is really
"To anywhere and there ain't no salvation"

But it certainly seems to mention Eddie Waring. On BBC Breakfast they said there is a name for this type of apparent miswording. Anyone know what it is?

There was a hymn we used to sing at school that had the line
"Glorious Trinity" - I was a Wakey supporter at the time - all my mates were Leeds fans tongue.gif
"Your a one trick pony Trojan" - Parksider 10th March 2013

The Sweet song "blockbuster" contains the line "I just haven't got a clue what to do". When I hear this, an image of Richard Agar springs to mind for some reason.

"I don't see what all the fuss is about. I mean, it's only fair after last year isn't it? Look Neil, just for you, I've put my best Rovers' tie on today in the hope it'll go some way to make up for it. Oh, by the way, Jon sends his regards."

In 'I Don't Want To Lose You', Tina Turner sings something like 'She's never impressed by those Manly advances'.
That makes 2 of us.

Dionne Warwick was a big St Helens* fan. In Heartbreaker she sung about 'the power of newlove...'.

*Or Bradford, or Featherstone, before anybody starts.
