Catalans! According to some news and "intern" sources, Catalans Dragons are very keen to sign Pat Richards, ex-Wigan and current West Tigers winger.

We tried to get Joel Monaghan but it seems like the deal failed somehow.

I don't get how we could be able to retain Carney, Tonga, Lima, Pomeroy, Inu and to get Pat Richards. 

It may be a big sign that Carney will leave or that Inu will get back to NRL. If Yaha gets out i'm going to go mad.

Surely Catalan can do better than signing a player who is going to be 34 before the season starts. I watched Richards for many years at Wigan and have some great memories of him playing but I just don't see how signing a 34 year old winger for a season is going to help Catalan. Surely they should be looking for younger French players!!

At wing? Dude, Cardace is our number one international winger, we have nothing...

That's why they should be looking for a young French winger, even a young English winger would be better than a 34 year old Australian.

Sigismeau who is currently playing Haven has a great future. Wendy Buche also made a very good season in the Elite French .
It would be stupid to miss good players like John Boudebza or other local players .

Yes but he and his family fancy a year in the south of France so you have to factor that in...

See Tonka - I don't know if, in this case it is a problem. Pat, come over on not as much as you might have been. We need you to play most of the time, but also help bring some young french backs through... Or am I giving everyone too much credit here?

I sincerely hope not- Brent Webb was too old when they signed him as well. I'm with Hvy Wg, if they sign him at the expense of Yaha, it is madness.

Brent Webb was a ###### guy smoking and eating a lot of cakes and that's not even a fake because the guy sending pastries in Canet were very happy to have him.

And yet he's still being kicked out of the star-studded line-up they're building for next year.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

I can actually totally see the function in bringing in a solid defensive winger who may still have a year of ok attack and can score goals.  He can also coach the youngsters.  It's horses for courses and there will be matches where he could be of a lot of use.  Provided the wages are right.

They've brought Sigismeau back now for the rest of the season to replace Cardace.

Catalans can have him. Other than his kicking he serves absolutely no purpose, he is the worst finishing winger in the NRL, even Lachlan Maranta can make better of a half chance than Richards can. He only scores tries when Tedesco does something brilliant and passes to him with no defenders within cooee
