RLWC Scheduling

Looking at the RLWC fixtures on the BBC to try and understand what holidays I will need off work to watch some of the Friday morning game, and I noticed that quite a few of the fixtures clash with each other. Is this right or have the BBC just got confused with some of the times?

Matchday 2 sees NZ v Samoa and PNG v Wales kick off at the same time (7.30am)

Matchday 3 sees Scotland v Tonga and France v Lebanon (4am and 5.05am)

Matchday 6 has PNG v Ireland and Fiji v Wales (6am and 6.30am)

They also have key games (QF and Semi Final) on a Friday, which is rubbish for UK fans.

Surely these times are not right, it seems to be pee poor if it is, and worries me in terms of being able to watch every game live, which I was hoping to do.

Another thing to remember is that Brisbane does not have daylight savings and Sydney does.

Good point, none of Queensland has daylight saving, so Cairns, and Townsville are the same as Brisbane.

Talent is secondary to whether players are confident.

I'm going off this schedule. It does say against matches it live or delayed:

That suggests Lebanon are playing the first half against Ireland and 2nd half v France!!!!

If only the RLWC site had a better fixture list customisable by country.

Oops. Didn't see that!  I'm sure one is a typo

edit - it should read Ireland v Italy at Cairns

The 4am/5am games are going to kill me ?

It's the new WC format as pioneered by Australia in Fiji.

It's a brilliant idea. If they use their full squads, every player gets a full-contact warmup, unlimited changes at "half" time and the crowd gets 3 games in 2 hours.

Forget garlic bread, forty minute, multiple games are the future ducky.

In "real" time there is at least 3 hours between kick-off times for these 2 games

This one looks bad - a double header in Cairns with a one-off game in Canberra.

No that's a mistake in Time Zones. BUT PNG v IRL will overlap with Italy v USA. Should be at least 90 minutes between kick-offs for the PNG and Fiji games.
