I saw this band in Leeds last night and they were simply awesome. Going to see them again in Manchester on December 15th.

Tinsley Ellis - Georgia Blue. Some really good electric blues on this album, from straight 12-bar to more light-hearted and funky stuff. Pretty decent singer, too.

Tim Buckley - Starsailor. The man who these days appears unfairly doomed to be known merely as 'Jeff's Dad', with his most extreme recording. Mad stuff, touching on the unlistenable at times.

Adam & The Ants - Car Trouble

Seeing as we're off to see these next Sat in Leeds I thought I'd dig out a few oldies. This is a top tune.

Should be an interesting night.

Getting rave reviews apparently.

I always liked that two drummer thing they had going on.

Dr Feelgood - She Does it Right.

Great clip I just came across recorded live in Finland. Cameraman seems to have something against Wilko and I have never seen Lee's jacket looking that white!!

Rock and Roll as it should be played!!!

It was great, really good. Played mostly older stuff from before he was in the charts but even the pop hits sounded good. Had the 2 drummers who were incredibly in sync and the band were tight as. You can tell he is still not quite 100% and is still a little nervous. As for that Georgina Bailey (Sachs?) on backing vocals....wow, just scandalous. (Think Tom & Jerry style eyeballs when he sees the girl cat...yoinks)

Put it this way, I'd go again without a doubt: and I was by no means their biggest fan beforehand. A brilliant night out.

In the 80s I worked for the Performing Right Society. Adam Ant (Stuart Goddard) visited our Head Office regularly. He would arrive unannounced never expecting any red carpet treatment. Always friendly and unassuming he would never leave without making time to pop in to all the different admin offices, have a chat and a laugh, sign records etc. No other artist did this and we all respected him greatly.

In the blink of an eye it could all be taken away.  Be grateful always.

A couple of Joe Camilleri (The Black Sorrows) side projects, both up to his usual excellent standards:
