Refugee humanitarian disaster

Recommended Posts

This just about sums up the people in these camps;

“We, the united people of the Jungle, Calais, respectfully decline the demands of the French government.”

They somehow think they have the right to do what they want, when they want until all their personal demands are met. If they don't like whats being offered they can always go back to their North African or Middle Eastern hell holes they came from.

Yeah, how dare the French Government tell them to move out of makeshift tents with no facilities and into buildings with heating, lighting, water and sanitation. How dare they ask them to formally request asylum in a safe country.

All their actions prove are that most of these aren't genuine asylum seekers who want safety, security and protection for them and their families, they're economic migrants who have a sole intention of getting into the UK to claim the very generous benefits we currently have. If our benefits were less than what they could get in France or in other EU countries the majority of these people wouldn't be in these Calais camps, they would have claimed asylum in one of these other countries.

Even Juncker, that EU bloke who not long ago was berating everyone for not taking in enough migrants, was quoted in the Guardian this week as calling some migrants 'arrogant' for picking and choosing where they want to live.  It's taken a long time for him to start being honest in public!

Another development has been reported today on the BBC website.  A public pool in Germany has banned males from the local refugee camp from attending because women were leaving as a result of (non criminal) sexual harrassment in the pool.  Apparently social workers are going to reeducate the men!

Also, something I didn't know, is that Germany is introducing ID cards for migrants.  Interesting.  Furthermore, since the attacks in Cologne, it appears that the mood has changed towards migrants generally and Merkel specifically according to opinion polls. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35326090

Given the fears about the migrants including infiltrant Daesh and Al Quaeda operatives, I would have thought they should all be DNA-profiled as well.

Why would they come here for our "generous benefits" when even the most perfunctory Google search shows there are a number of more generous EU nations?

What's that smell? Is horses? No is it sheep? No it's Bull.

Wow DNA profiling is great

It can identify Terrorist DNA

Here's a clue, CSI Vegas is not a documentary.

Your sarcasm is noted.  However, the latest member of the mob which attacked Paris in November has been identified through mitochondrial DNA.

If it's not for benefits then why would they pass through all the other safe countries and turn down the opportunity to claim asylum in them. You don't turn down food accommodation and benefits and walk another thousand miles to squat in a makeshift tent in calais if there wasn't a bigger reward at the end of it. They ain't coming for the weather, the short working hours, the low taxes, zero crime - No they're coming for the benefits. That makes them economic migrants.

Most of the more generous welfare systems are based around contribution based systems. Presumably Sweden is an exception

You do talk a load of poop sometimes.

You have been presented with facts showing our benefits are not the most generous they could receive but cling to your delusional assertions.

There are any number of reasons why a migrant may choose to come to the UK, not least English is a commonly spoken second language and our reputation for tolerance and inclusveness.

Personally, I'd like every Briton to be DNA-profiled.

Why on earth would you want that? what sort of dystopian police state do you want to live in?

Maybe so, but why shouldn't we do  it?

Start with cost and time and then go on to more esoteric reasons like civil rights and privacy.

Personally, I don't see any immediately-arriving immigrant has civil rights and privacy. If they don't like it, they can go somewhere else.

Where do you draw the line?

If a Doctor from Australia was over here to work for a year would you extend them civil rights?

How about Malala Yousafazi? Does she deserve privacy in your opinion?

1.   I think all immigrants should be DNA-tested and   momitored for any disease they might be carrying. i would have thought that doctors might be particularly of risk of carrying disease or afflictions following their delivery of treatment regimes in foreign countries.

Smallpox yesterday, Ebola tomorrow?

2. I have been ill over the past few weeks and have had several blood-samples removed at Bradford Royal Infirmary. In addition, I have been a blood donor for forty years; got my Wedgwood Plate. I'd be surprised if Malala and I haven't both been DNA-profiled as a result of our respective hospital treatment regimes.

Merkel MUST shut the borders and finally get some control over the situation in Germany as its close in some areas to boiling over. Conditions for illegal immigrants are often not good especially in winter. Towns and Councils are way past their limit and why the Landsrat from Landshut sent them to Merkel. It was a message to say we are struggling here and all you say is "Wir Schaffen das". Politicians are not happy how he did this but many people are happy finally somebody is standing up to Merkel. They have been relocated in Bayern after travelling the next day from Berlin. Daily are stories coming out of men attacking women and girls and why such groups are banned from certain swimming pools. The Police have been criticized for the way its handled things by the Politicians-but the Government have failed to mention that they have been making cuts for years and the laws are too soft on criminals.

We have groups of young men causing all heaps of problems from Sexual attacks to stealing to physical violence and the odd one involved in terrorist acts. The Police catch them and have been told to release them so as not to make it out as there is a problem with illegal immigrants. Well over 50% of these illegal immigrants are from places like Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania, Pakistan, and the past few weeks Algeria, Morocco, Ghana etc which are not war torn areas and as such these people have no  chance of Asylum. These need to be sent back ASAP. The scumbags that are found to be attacking women even teenage girls,as well as being involved in crime need to be deported ASAP, instead of being allowed to walk around free. These young men should be fighting for their land in Syria and Afghanistan, not attacking women and Girls in Europe. Until Germany and Europe gets a proper contol of the situation it will struggle to control these groups causing problems and the women and Children that need help are looked after properly and not shoved in to a tent in the middle of winter.

The thing is that's just whilst your claim is being processed. The UK has a different welfare state to most of Europe. We base money primarily on what people need rather than contribution based. This usually leaves people who've lost a job worse off in the UK but people who haven't contributed better off here than elsewhere

I hadn't realised we were at the stage of quoting Breitbart.  Stormfront next, I assume.

Anyway, I'm sure this will make everyone happier.

I couldn't read it because it's The Times isn't it?  Hidden behind a paywall if memory serves.

Anyway, if it's about the European Commission's proposal then I can't imagine it being accepted.  If news of the proposal spreads in the UK then I'd say an EU exit is virtually guaranteed!

FT so you get X number of free articles per week (I can't remember the number) providing you register.  The Telegraph keeps claiming the same requirement and yet I never can't read an article.
