Two backs and a hooker on the bench?

I'm pretty confident that it's only because we're playing France and that we won't see this against the Aussies or kiwis.

Aussies use a utility player on the bench , plus hodgson will probably move to lock like he does at Canberra,

Big pack for England not sure if France will be able to handle the power! What's the international sub rules? Is it 12 or 10 as in oz?
