They don't need to destroy anybody, but they do need to be proud of club, and play as a close unit, and find some way of using the pace we have in the backs

Barrow Raiders are delighted to offer a fantastic deal for Sunday's game versus Dewsbury. At 1pm Hindpool and Askam under 14s lock horns in a curtain raiser and for every supporter who is in the ground before the 1pm kick off time entry is only £5. That's a massive £12 off the entry price. The Raiders Bar will be open and Man Utd v Liverpool is being shown from 2.05pm. So to all our fans who drink in the surrounding watering holes get yourselves to the ground early for a great saving. And don't forget any number of kids go free with one paying adult. Please share.

Have seen on fb this has annoyed a few season ticket holders, some threatening to cancel their direct debit!! All so they can save money too.

It’s a good idea and grabs people’s attention, but as someone else pointed out on the post, their family would make a saving of £36 which would “pay for the beer” (which they would’ve had anyway).

Are these gimmicks actually beneficial to the club? Are we gaining any additional revenue to make up for the shortfall?

I think it's a great idea. I know a few people who were going to miss this game due to the football on TV but are now going to catch the first half in the ground and will no doubt spend a fortune on beer inside the ground rather than cunninghams.

We can't do what we've always done and expect different results. If we don't try things to improve the crowds we won't improve the crowds. We'll look at the numbers after the game and see if we have been impacted financially or indeed we have gained from the promotion. It isn't an exact science because we won't know who came who wouldn't have bothered but after our hammering at York and the big football match on the TV we can't afford to just sit there and hope for the best.

unfortunately we are competing tomorrow against Man u v Liverpool  14:05 kick off but also Man City v Chelsea at 16:30, we need to try every trick in the book to get the fans behind us on these occasions and by the way i am a season ticket holder but can more than understand the reasoning. COYR.

Free entry to Widnes stronghold ticket holders , 3000 of them at a loose end tomorrow and they might like a day out in the lakes , watch some rugby and drown their sorrows . And the away support does like a good drink .

And they could bring Brad Walker & Jordan Johnstone with them for some game time

My wife and myself are season ticket holders but we always miss several games during the season for different reasons. As far as I am concerned we treat the loss of attendance at these games as a donation to the Club. I completely agree with anything the Board do to try and increase the gate numbers and will continue to do so.

Absolutely shocking again.... played the exact same the past 3 games but expecting different results? Madness. Very one out stuff all game and no shape or urgency at all. Special mentions to Star, Jordan Walne and Jarrad who played well.

Reminding me of when we played under Steve McCormack at the minute??‍♂️
