I saw that, talk about wanting to have your cake and eat it. WIdnes are refusing to re-instate 2 players who they sacked prior to going into administration because, they say that is a matter for 'old' Widnes. In the next breath they are asking for the rest of their parachute payment (they have already had an advance it seems as 'old' Widnes), to be given to the new club. Widnes, as they are now, have never been in SL, but knowing the RFL, they'll say they need it to get established properly again.

Leon Pryce has left/been sacked by Workington. Wonder if Jason Payne will end up there.

That has come out of the blue.  Regarding the original post re Widnes wanting to keep a full time squad. A WIdnes fan told me after the game on Sunday,, although they are full time, they have no money to pay support staff regarding recovery, physio etc. The players, in effect have to look after themselves regarding rehab. That might explain why they looked so shot in the last 20 minutes against us.

Looks like Rochdale have parted ways with their coach, wonder if he'll return to Cumbria with Workington. The Hornets fans were also due to have a Q+A evening last Thursday with the team manager which was postponed...I'll avoid any wind related puns on this ocassion!

Widnes got beat by Dewsbury today, bit of a turn up.

Yes John, and a couple of shocks in league 1, Skolars at Hunslet and N.Wales at Donny. Guess easter has taken its toll at some clubs but not at the super fit Kneets, didn't make it to France John but was with you in spirit,  sure you and Andy were very proud.
