Best Try Celebrations

Recommended Posts

Something a little light hearted but came across this on Twitter. Its PNG, which always gets bonus points for any League fan, but it certainly is something different in the try celebration stakes. This got me wondering what other good/different try celebrations have we seen:

The another classic is the Edwards and Offiah nod (made all the better with the added comedy value from the Saints ball boy):

Was that a young Saint Toppy?

Best I've seen wAs early 2000s when Batley were in a cup or playoff. Kris Lythe scored And all the team quickly lined up under the sticks and Lythe used the ball as a camera to take a pic.

2002 play off semi against Leigh. Opening try of the game, I think (Leigh went on to win and play Huddersfield in the final). I used to always stand on the front row behind the sticks around that time so if you look carefully on the window I'm probably making a similar gesture to the Saints ball boy in the Offiah video.

I was also at the Warrington v Wigan game when Nat Wood went in to the concourse and nobody around us had a clue what was going on! I'm not sure Wood would have necessarily made the same choice again had he realised he was jumping in to the away end!

I have two conflicting responses here.  One, what a %*&$ and two, that's fantastic.

"The history of the world is the history of the triumph of the heartless over the mindless." — Sir Humphrey Appleby.

"If someone doesn't value evidence, what evidence are you going to provide to prove that they should value it? If someone doesn't value logic, what logical argument could you provide to show the importance of logic?" — Sam Harris

Briers did this at one game too, not sure if before or after the Riddell one.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.
