I don't want to be the killjoy here.  Yes, I really enjoyed the game and there plenty of big hits and big runs but Tonga were absolutely awful.  I can't remember a decent shift from them all game, it was route 1 or nothing for them.

Samoa were a little better but against a team that made loads of errors and no shape they won by 2 points.

Roll on next week.

Killjoy.

KW playing the old pals game has cost Tonga dearly -  Hopaoate has been either rubbish or crocked  for years and should have been nowhere near an international squad - resulting in losing the HB  to FB - and costing the game

What a great game, the forwards battered each other but Samoa’s 1,6 & 7 were far superior to Tonga’s.

Suaali'i what a talent. Luai a grub but a half any team would want.

Three weeks ago after being thrashed by England I  said they  would still reach the semi-final.... at least

How many of these people (it is 2022) who attempt to grow a ‘tache actually raise any money for said charity? It’s just an excuse for the majority not to shave.

A big question mark over whether Suaalii will be available next week.  That raised knee in the tackle was quite a bad one.
