Possibly but KR apart from Abdul did nothing special, they didn’t need to mind all bar the barge over try came from leeds errors, was it 4 trys scored from kicks and one barge over, as I say turgid

I'll take it 😄

Just now, LeytherRob said:

It was a green card for Coote after his injury stopped play

Which again was a bit unfair as although he didn’t get fouled he did take Sangaras knee to the head.

I call that good game management in the conditions. This is what I like about Willie Peters' Hull KR, or to be fair the result of 2 or 3 years of steady list management by Lakin to get a balanced squad, we finally seem to have got football smarts.

You're never going to see champagne rugby on nights like that, from any side, but what you need is hookers and half-backs guiding teams around the park, good defensive structure, and an intelligent kicking game. First time since we came back in 2006 that it feels like Rovers have a "proper" rugby team to be honest.

Apparently this site says I "won the day" here on 23rd Jan, 19th Jan, 9th Jan also 13th December, whatever any of that means. Anyway, 4 times in a few weeks? The forum must be going to the dogs - you people need to seriously up your game. Where's Dutoni when you need him?

I said it will either work brilliantly or Smith will be out by May, I don't think its working brilliantly.

Leeds commercial director left with more than 10 minutes to go tonight

I think Rohan Smith is finding out the reason why SL clubs haven't typically concentrated their recruitment from the championship previously. You might get the odd gem but pretty much all Leeds signings were playing Championship last year. Luis Roberts is having a very difficult time and he looks so down on confidence, even having a mare for Bradford. He needed a full season on loan at a mid table championship club to get some more experience, he's way too raw currently to be put in at the deep end, especially playing in different positions each week.

Equally, Sangare seems like Oledski 3 years ago. Probably going to be brilliant, but not necessarily at that level yet, nor necessarily what Leeds can manage right now.

And Sangare is by far one of our better players...

Nothing turgid about that win. Just got back from the game and the rain was pouring down and Rovers, especially in the first half, played the game to the conditions perfectly. Leeds could not handle the kicks from Abdull and every time they went up you expected Leeds to drop it. The game management was bang on.

And its blowing a hooley

Route One from the North Sea, Leeds looked like they didn't want to be there from the moment they set foot on the pitch.

It was a poor game to watch but it was unlikely to be anything else in the conditions. Rervers might not have done anything special but they rolled Leeds over with ease all night.

KR are a good side with a good balance this year

Smith will not be out by May, doesn’t matter how many times you say it, Smith was signed for the long term, its his first full year.

It was a turgid game, but you are correct KR managed it perfectly

Jesse Marsch was signed for the long term at LUFC. Dave Furner was signed for the Long term at rhinos, heck so was Richard Agar.

Wonder what the leadership council says tonight.

Agar wasn’t signed for the long term.

Ian Watson was signed for the long term, Daryl Powell was signed for the long term.

Non of the leeds coached you mentioned got us to a SL Grand Final.

Brian McDermott then?

The team is devoid of leadership and tactical nouse.
