According to our biggest fan in Bradford

Bradford have every right to feel aggrieved after being edged out of a game that they led 21-20 with three minutes remianing. Referee Cameron Worsley penalised Jayden Okunbor and Jayden Myers for a ball steal when the ball had clearly been knocked on and lost by Wellington Albert. It’s unfortunate that the match officials have had a large influence on deciding a great game in controversial circumstances.

It's only controversial when you lose, is the above from the Gamecaller by any chance ?

Not too surprised by the win this is a different Fev than the team who shipped 40 points at home to Swinton. If the Bradford supporters think they were hard done by i thoght Peles 2nd try Bradfords 3rd was a forward pass from Sammut.Watch his hands as he delivers the pass.Result of the day though must be Whitehaven with only 16 players turning over a Donny team who have been in good form.

He's a right narcissist. Can't see the other side of the coin. Minnekin was over for a try when the bulls fans roared FORWARD. The ref went with the crowd. The pass was no way a forward pass. He'll interview the coach now and back him into a corner till he gets him the sack. Nasty trouble maker.

Take it he has a stay of execution. Lol

Fans are entitled to their opinions, but when we were poor he was getting slated which is fair enough. But where is the praise after winning three  on the trot ?

Exactly... them doubters have gone very quiet   some folks don't like to be proven wrong. If for any reason fev don't make the play offs I'm sure they will be back out in force .

Wheres all his 'knockers' now ? Won 3 games on spin not many thought we would win.

Nothing he ever does will make up for the London playoff debacle and coaching us to third in a one horse race. That was our last shot at Super League and he monumentally messed it up. He should have gone then and I still don't believe he should be at the club now.

I admire your stance and you've stuck to it, but i think he's here for a while yet so let's hope we can keep this good form up.

A real battling win in similar fashion to the one at Widnes, under the cosh at times but we toughed it out and they gradually made more and more mistakes as they lost composure.

Not sure Bradford can complain about the officiating too much. We had 2 tries disallowed and there was what appeared to be a blatant knock on by Appo on the first tackle of the set that led to their third try. Also for Bradford's final try if you watch Hardcastle he is clearly impeded by Okunbor when preparing to contest the high kick, Okunbor jumps into Hardcastle and his knee pushes Hardcastle out of the way. Easy to miss so not complaining but controversial/marginal decisions work both ways. Worth pointing out that we didn't get a single penalty or 6 again in the first half, I'm not saying necessarily we should have had any but it's hardly as if Bradford were caned by the ref.

Funniest moment of the game came after we had been awarded the decisive penalty. A few minutes earlier when Springer had knocked on in our own half Bradford reacted like they had won the Challenge Cup or SL Final, jumping around wildly in celebration. Reynolds did his own spoof of that when Fev were awarded the penalty, jumping around on his own like a lunatic, happily he backed it up by kicking the goal.

Again, there were about eight lads with strong Featherstone/very local connections in our team, and it was great to see the team spirit against Bradford's League Of Nations team that included (I think) 10 overseas players.

I don't think we're a great team this year and it has been tenacity that has won us our last three games more than dazzling skills, but I've had at least as much enjoyment from watching two or three wins this season that I really wasn't expecting as from some of the blowouts of the previous two years.

edited to add...I forgot to mention the enforced reshuffle caused by Gaz Gale's first-half injury. Hardcastle switched from right centre to left wing, Beckett switched from middle to right edge back row, Bussey switched from right edge back row to centre, that was quite a significant forced set of changes. Hope Gaz's injury isn't too bad.

Funny how our Bradford 'mate' missed that one 😆 🤣

It's going to be interesting with patron back next week! Two halfbacks for the first time this season it feels!!!

Understand that it feels that way but in the first three games of the season the half-backs that started were Reynolds and Lacans.

Only from watching live, but the ref appeared to give an 'offside' signal when he awarded the penalty? The Bradford players' reaction suggested they thought it was a knock on.

Yes but that was the preceding play - Bradford knocked on but the ref gave offside (I think on the intervention of the TJ, and I think it was the right decision). However from the penalty, which only gained about 5 yards from Sammut's kick, they tapped the ball and switched back to the blind side where the pass seemed to brush through Appo's fingers...the ball ended up behind him and the ref signalled that it had gone backwards but usually that sort of incident is given as a knock on....Taufua picked the ball up and then stopped as if he was expecting a knock on to be given.
