Shame that, been great watching him the last few seasons, quality player. Though I`d rather Burns stayed I dont think we lose much in the full back position if Galea plays there, he showed last season when the coach finally allowed him to play in his best position just how good a full back he is. Great idea to then move him back on the wing for the last game.... 2 1
Unicorn 106 Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Sorry to see him go, I’ve loved watching him this last couple of seasons, s born leader on the field and never gave less than 100 percent. 2
Town utd Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Burns as played well for town, runs strong and been reliable, but I always thought the team was restricted to how they played when he was out the back at fullback, always run the ball.but a strong player.

Haven 123 Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 (edited) Daft why? Haven gonna be full of NCL CARLA players next year, be a good crack with added few like Burns & Tomposh. This is the way Haven need to go, Kellet put 150 on crowd last game hopefully with a team full of lads from West Cumbria crowds be increased and as has been said winning is not the end game we need to sort our problems out first. havenhater Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Both teams need to be going 90% local to make this game keep existing up West, but with the likes of Rochdale, dewsbury and Goole already well under way with recruitment of big names club that with keighley, it's gonna be another tough one. For town they can't do any worse then last season and for haven, relegation and Murrays new team they also need will be looking to be competitive. Gonna be an interesting one. 1

Daft maybe the wrong word, just surprised if he signed now, although perhaps understandable once he comes off tour and maybe sees League 1 as an easier step up than Championship (Which I think he could handle) Also I agree that local lads bring in more of a crowd but not a chance did Jack Kellet add 150 through the gate.
dkw Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Anyone signing for haven with that board is daft. 3
Haven 123 Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Ano but it’s only one we got so have to prey they sort there out. 1

I hope the people in charge realize how close they came to being finished. So, the first thing on the agenda must be to clear all the debts, and then make sure they have someone with a good business background to put together a business plan for next season and stick to it. 1
Hate the rec Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 Congratulations to Town Ladies beating Orrell St James today 26-12 and gaining promotion, a fantastic achievement, enjoy yourself girls you all deserve it UTTL 10 1

silverfox Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 I'm a Town fan , and I wouldn't have liked to see Whitehaven fold .As I hope, if the roles were reversed the Whitehaven fans would feel the same .We need each other ,We would miss all this this banter on the forum if it ever happened . Plus Iwhen we play each other it's our biggest crowds of the season . Next season with Coaches and players swapping clubs. The Ike Southward and home and away in the league there's going to be some interesting encounters . Which hopefully will generate much needed revenue for both clubs . UTT. 3 1
pmac Posted October 14, 2024 Author Posted October 14, 2024 The fixture release will be more interesting for sure.
