I’d just like to thank everyone at Workington Town Rugby League Football Club & all the fans for the last 2 years & all the lads I’ve played with ive made friends for life during my time at the club.

It’s truly been 2 of the best years I’ve experienced playing rugby but unfortunately I’ll be moving away from the club.

Thank you for the opportunity to play for a great club and best of luck for the next season! ️

Walker Eccleston Stephenson Archer Reid Saunders Steele McPherson Hutton B Taylor and Galea are on two year deals.

I don't think that these so called contracts are worth the paper that they are printed on

Still no news on signings while down the road have signed 5, plus another tonight. The silence is deafening

Season has only been officially over a week. Presentation evening was 2 days ago. Certainly no need to panic.

See Henry Hadfield has also signed for Haven, liked the look of the lad when at Town, good strong winger who always looked for work

I think we will have to rename ourselves the Brady bunch ...Haven and Town are obviously on different trajectories in 2025 ...hopefully the nature of a derby game will level things up ...otherwise it could get messy.

He sometimes thinks he's still playing rugby union and trys to get rid of the ball when he shouldn't. Had an unreal debut here. What did you jambos always say to us oh he's alright for this league

Well if haven couldn't attract fans against the championships best what chance have they got getting thumped by every league one club next year. The squad there putting together will be very similar to that of Newcastles last year with an even worse coach

You could say that , bunch of amateurs, load of the lesser town players that finished 3rd bottom last year, a hapless coach and then poor Jordan burns who'll probably have to play full back, centre and stand off to stand anychance of Newcastle not putting 60 on them

It's a rebuilding year, no expectations at all. Saying that some of the local lads could turn out to be hidden gems. Some of the amateurs can't be that bad considering Town were in for them as well

Would have like hadfield to stay but if we retain eccleston and Jonty has some other options he very would have been very unlikely to feature

I'm pretty sure Eccleston, Brad Taylor and Johnny Hutton all signed 2 year deals so Hadfield would be behind them 3 plus any new wingers Jonty might have signed.
