I would like to more ex players become school teachers when they retire, and possibly spot any potential Rugby League league players, who are not involved in the game.

I believe that was how LMS, Clubb and a few others got involved in RL. They had a teacher at their school that saw them and brought them to a Greenwich Admirals training session to get them involved.

I said I believed the Chris Hill one. The  Charnley one sounds like a story for the press. Working on building sites is the most dangerous work activity there is.

The whole point of being a pro player was to move players away from working down the pit. Working on site would almost certainly invalidate his insurances.
Whatever he’s doing I personally don’t believe he’s a paid contracted bricklayer. I do believe he will be fairly soon.

Well done.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

That's a good reason to have ex players as teachers otherwise these and others would have been lost to the game.
