Have a walk round Batley and Dewsbury on a morning and you won't find the jobless in the Job Centre their all in the pubs across the road for 9 o'clock.

Silly question, perhaps, but has this exchange of views (re unkind and unnecessary generalisations about the `out of work') migrated, in some miraculous way, from a thread on the `Any Other Business' forum?

And now I'll post what I came here a moment ago to post ..... just -passing on a Hull FC media release:

MORE NEW RANGES ARRIVE IN STORE

The club's latest merchandise ranges are now available in Hull FC retail stores for Black and Whites supporters in the run up to Christmas. With more than 100 new lines expected to hit the shelves before the festive period, fresh stock is arriving all the time and among the latest products to go on sale in the club’s retail stores at the KC Stadium and in Savile Street are some warming winter clothing.

Home kit designed by a schoolboy in South Leeds, good design.

Both designs designed by local children from the South Leeds Academy High School in an initiative which saw 300 children submitting designs for our kit, 300 children who probably didn't know we existed who have now taken part in the kit competition, attended our season launch night and now have FREE junior season tickets for 2013, superb initiative by the club.

The Bulls marketing dept will now have to really pull its finger out with this year's away strip. After the debacle of designing a decent home shirt, it has now got its reputation on the line .. to be the provider of the worst strip in pro rugby.

We've changed kit suppliers which may explain most of this

You don't see too many brown shirts in RL. The only other one I can think of is the "Chocolate Soldier" Penrith Panthers retro shirt.

Aye. Not many sports teams wear brown shirts for good reasons.

Hornets away shirt... Based on the Fijian shirt in the lead up to world cup. Looks fantastic.

Good link up with the Fijian connection, is this the first time that the Greater Manchester area will have seen a palm tree outdoors all year long?

Now that is a smart piece of thinking! :)
"Journalists are meant to be neutral, for God's sake." - Stephen 'Wiggy' Jones

"Perhaps it would be better that future criticism of sports be made on the narrow basis of what is being discussed, without reference to other sports, unless those sports offer a solution to the problem in hand." - Brian 'Pigface' Moore

"What happens in rugby union? A player takes the ball, moves forward a little and gets tackled. A whole load of players then roll about on the ground. Pheep! The referee gives a penalty." - Simon Barnes

Great idea Rochdale. The only problem I can see though is, your home kit is blue and your away kit is, erm? blue.

Their home kit is primarily white with alternate red and blue hoops.
Cheer up, RL is actually rather good
