gingerjon Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Not sure why a band with two guitarists and a bassist need a couple of guitarists playing backing. I think we can all think of situations where what appears to be a perfectly fine set-up can be made infinitely better by a reduction of two in the playing staff. Good observation. Leeds Wire Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Not sure if I've posted this before, but here's a link to a fantastic, suprising range of cover versions. The AV Club website invited the public to nominate songs for bands to cover, then a load of bands were invited into the studio to choose which one they wanted to cover. Each time a song was performed it was crossed off the list. The project is now in its fourth season and all the covers are free to view and listen to. Some of the covers are brilliantly done and some are just bobbins, but they are all interesting. See what you think... here's 2012's tunes: http://www.avclub.com/features/av-undercover-2012

If you can be arsed, there is also some excellent footage of their lead singer facing the PMRC panel and absolutely tearing their arguments to pieces. Dee Snyder v PMRC or similar.
