Dewsbury signing 14 new players. Its almost like a brand new Team. Can’t weigh that one up.    ?

Probably using the rent money Bradford are paying for playing their home games at Dewsbury.Hope they get their cash up front.

They did same last season it seems they go for quantity over quality .

........and for 2019 we signed how many?

A lot , but when you have only 4 signed up at the start we had no option.

Generally you’d think that keeping a nucleus of players together would be positive. But is this really the case, given how well we did last season?.

Depends how good the nucleus is. Given how Dewsbury went for most of last season, I'd be looking for a big turnover of playing staff if I supported them.

So how many did Dewsbury have signed up already for 2020?

I can’t grasp your sense of argument whether it’s having a go at Fev for signing too many players or Dewsbury doing similar I just don’t know and frankly I don’t care.

There are reports in Australian press that Cameron King has signed for Cronulla Sharks. Good luck to him if true, it would have been tough to take if he had signed for another Championship club but fair play if he's got an NRL gig.

Aye, big step down for Cam after Fev, but good luck to the fella.

Conor Carey also with a 'like'........

I know Mark's got him down as returning to Oz, but has that actually been announced anywhere?

Carey's Instagram suggests he's been socialising with Alec Susino, so in the absence of any official info I'm guessing he's staying with us.

Widnes or Bradford I have heard he’s going to .

Not good news in tonight's League Express...Minns (foot), Parata (ankle) & Davies (ankle) all need operations and could miss the start of the season. Webster says Minns has re-broken his foot. Says he is looking to bring in a SL player on loan for early period of season.

That’s awful news before the season has started. Shame that we couldn’t get the Cameron King deal sorted, but you can’t blame him for staying in Oz. Hopefully dual reg can plug the gaps.

In terms of replacing Minns, a lot will depend on whether we can get Alex Sutcliffe. I wouldn't have thought he would be in Leeds' starting 17 in the early stages of the season barring in jury, so fingers crossed.

We shouldn't be short of cover in John Davies' position(s), with a solid-looking pack and plenty of young forwards in the Leeds squad who probably won't be playing for the 1st team.

Hooker is more problematic. I've mentioned Corey Johnson of Leeds a few times, but we are surely going to need another hooker if Parata is out at the start of the season (anyone know what's happened with Maskill?). Bussey could fill in there I suppose, but he's far more effective elsewhere.

Although we'll be hoping Alex Sutcliffe is available, and maybe Luke Briscoe too if Tom's fit, Leeds are probably only 1 or 2 injuries away from being unable to help us much with threequarters, they have much more depth in their forwards, so Carey's versatility makes him a very handy player to have back.
