Futtocks
There's a very real chance of four players scoring centuries on Day 1. His bowling is at a level where you might get 4 overs from him in a t20, but not often. And he's playing as the second spinner in a 5 man attack (where the third seamer is the all rounder). Not sure how they think they'll get 20 wickets. Seems like they had pretty limited options with much of the squad ill. Test debuts for Jacks and Livingstone. Amazing day of batting. Yeah, Root let them down. The previous record for the fastest 500 was 90.1 overs. DavidM
And only 75 overs . They’d have feasibly got 600 ! In other news Smith and Labuschagne were at it again . Looking forward to the Ashes with hopefully a fit Wood and Jofra
phiggins
Personally, I'm amazed that this selection of part time spinners with a part time wicketkeeper are struggling to take wickets on a flat pitch...
Farmduck
I haven't followed cricket for years but I noticed the Windies today played 12 batsmen. One was a concussion replacement. When did that come in? I don't think it will have any bearing on this result - the replaced and replacement got 50 between them while chasing 600 - but what if it's a tight final-day run chase and the concussed player already had 50+ and is then replaced with a T20 specialist?
