Eddie
Had it confirmed, North Herts had 12 and the Vipers lent 2 players, so they had 14. Top set of lads from North Herts btw, a great club.
Eddie
Nice try from the Anglian Vipers’ 32-30 defeat at Bedford Tigers A on Saturday. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0AhcauYu6j1AshJjmJqrGSZL9tLomXiHfbZ9kQbu5GrDfcCZuqgAtU7RpzfNRPxgRl&id=101233535766415&m_entstream_source=timeline&anchor_composer=false Edited June 15, 2022 by Eddie 7
Eddie
A very entertaining game at Wymondham this afternoon. The Vipers led North Herts Crusaders 22-4 at half time but Crusaders got back into game and it was 34-32 with ten minutes left. The Vipers then scored two late tries to win 46-32, a well played game by both teams.

I went to watch the Fighting Irish defeat the Black Dragons in the Welsh RL comp, this afternoon. Very enjoyable day out. A fiercely contested match, with a good crowd of about 120 or so. It's early days for both teams (only our second outing) but both have a lot of potential and already display a lively capacity to entertain. Eddie
Nice article about the Anglian Vipers from the TRL News thread last month. This weekend’s opponents have pulled out of the fixture in Norfolk (sadly a common theme in the East RL division) so instead local Union club Crusaders will be coming to Wymondham on Friday evening to play the Vipers at Rugby League. Sunny weather forecast and the bar will be open, should be an enjoyable occasion.

Eddie
A great evening at Barnards Fields yesterday, with the Vipers playing their last game of the season, a friendly against local Union side Crusaders. Around 140 people were there to watch the Vipers win 46-4 but the result didn’t matter, it was a hard fought game played in good spirit and many of the Union boys got their first experience of rugby league. Hopefully some will be back next season playing for the Vipers.

Yes, one is involved in the club but he’s not playing any more. It’s the same county but it’s a fair trek from Kings Lynn to Wymondham. Eddie
Hull FC are hosting a development day at Wymondham in conjunction with the Vipers on 10th August. Should be good opportunity for some local lads to give League a go, and for Hull to assess the local talent. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0KeGoJ5CY1YfSKuB7eKpqn5kr9WZ8ExbEBGcvABgZSgPBohxwmZX87FM7Dsi79if7l&id=100076183794499

I'd like to see SL clubs doing more of this kind of stuff alongside development in their own areas. If clubs partnered with a few community clubs in expansion areas they could help them develop the game in that area.
Eddie
Great turn out at Hull FC’s development day with the Vipers today, and a great time had by all the lads who attended. It’s being featured on tomorrow night’s Look East too https://m.facebook.com/100076183794499/ Edited August 10, 2022 by Eddie
OriginalMrC
Well done Eddie you've done something lots of new clubs struggle to do and it's to keep interest and finish the first season. It's onwards and upwards from here. Keep going and who knows where the club will be in years to come 5
Eddie
In the unlikely event that anyone is interested, yesterday’s Look East Vipers article with Lee Crooks is around 17 minutes in. I never thought I’d see a rugby league segment on local news here https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001b20f/look-east-evening-news-11082022 Edited August 12, 2022 by Eddie
Eddie
Another Hull FC development day is happening in Norfolk on April 1st, in conjunction with the Anglian Vipers and Langley school. Eddie
There’s a Vipers interview on this week’s 13 Pro Am Community podcast this week, if anyone is interested in what’s going on in Norfolk. It starts on 47 minutes but the whole show is, as always, worth a listen for those interested in the Community game. http://www.rugbyleaguepodcastingnetwork.com/2023/02/22/13-pro-am-community-rugby-league-show-22-02-2023/
