That's a new-ish Ska/punk/etc venue. Had a pint in there and it seems decent but not seen any bands. If I aren't working, I will pop along.

The story about the death of the English Rose and the inflatable ET always makes me laugh.

I didnt think of putting who i am going to see because on this page.
But i saw Mark Thomas Friday 4th March.
I’ve got “(British) Sea Power Saturday 23rd April”.
“Beach House” Tuesday 24th May.
I would like to go and watch “The Wedding Present” at the Arts Club in Liverpool in May, but if i miss the last train home id have to walk “a million miles” home.

I put on a band at Cleckheaton Rugby Club last week to support the club's annual tour.

Pat Fulgoni's Blues Experience.

Catch them if you can; they are really good.

Not quite the normal sort of thing to appear on this thread, I know, but this Saturday, my village church choir, suitably augmented by occasional members and guests, will sing choral evensong in Salisbury Cathedral at 5.30pm; the resident choir is on holiday this week.

I must remember to set the TV to record the BBC's challenge cup coverage!

I don't think you'd be disappointed.

He’s let himself go, as he said.

The enforced inactivity of lockdown has not been kind.

Went to see Stiff Little Fingers a few weeks back. Jake Burns' waistline had expanded at a similar rate.

I watched The Vaccines in Manchester the other night. Outstanding, better than ever, this is the 5th time I've seen them, but only 2nd in their headline gig.

Banger after banger, and their tunes move at such pace that they deliver an exhausting set list that lasts not much over an hour, but you can't help but leave happy and satisfied.

Great atmosphere, great band.

Chris Rock 15th May in Manchester, followed by Jacqui Abbott and Paul Heaton supported by The Proclaimers 22nd July in St.Helens.

I like Paul Heaton. Jacqui Abbott is a local lass.

I’m off to watch British Sea Power on Saturday, it was touch & go at one stage because a couple of them have had Covid. I thought i had another Doug Stanhope on my hands. The Sea Power gig is part of a Christmas present my brother got me and he is my chauffeur. He is disappointed that the gig hasn’t been pp because he was hoping it wouldn’t take place and then he wouldn’t have to swap one of his shifts. He is not impressed with the music i like (not many people are) and he lets me know that. I keep telling him “Well don’t get tickets for me then” 😄
