Damien
Warrington's performances had been picking up of late and they aren't going to get rid of him on the back of last night. I'm sure though the club, and the fans, will want to see improvement for the rest of this season. It is important that Powell shows he is the right man and is building something to then take them places next season.

I think they'd be foolish to part with him but that performance was "exceptional". 2 warning points Non-Political
Phil
I think there appears to be a group of players within the squad who aren’t responding to Powell, I think they’ll be on their way shortly 2 "Freedom without socialism is privilege and injustice, socialism without freedom is slavery and brutality" - Mikhail Bakunin

Agbrigg
I have seen quite a few struggling coaches get the sack the week after loosing to Wakey. Trin play wire next week and if people think wire are bad Trin are far worse right now. If Wire loose that game and allow Trin to do the treble over them , Powell shouldnt wait to get sack ,he should voluntary walk.

No one at Warrington (well, no one who matters) will judge Powell until about this time next year.

No he shouldn't, the players who can't/won't play for him should tear up their contracts and leave immediately.

Nobody will be more disappointed than him, and obviously his message isn't getting through to the players. He needs to get players in who understand his game plan as obviously some don't at the Wolves. I would suggest that if things haven't picked all round by this time next year and expect he won't be the Wolves coach.

That’s what I meant by the “people who matter” reference though. He’s been given the go ahead to clear out the joint by the powers that be, whatever fans or disgruntled players or the families of disgruntled players say matters not one jot at the moment. He will be judged by the board next year and not before.

meast
9 hours ago, plug said: How safe is Daryl powells job at warrington after last nights hammering to leeds The same question was asked about the same time last year of Ian Watson. Any new coach should have a minimum of 2 years IMO, he has to work with other people's players, and like Watson at Huddersfield, may find that these players are obstacles to how they want to do things. Why employ a head coach if he's not given the tools and time to do things his way? Huddersfield Giants Supporters Association
