Whatever his reasons, his commitment to Batley over the last couple of years has been immense.

All the very best wishes for your future.

I couldn't agree more. I'd rate him as good a scrum half as l have seen in a Batley shirt in my time watching Batley. My post was in response to the guy who asked why he would move. Players have a range of reasons for leaving.

Batley Bob, why would we need to trigger his SL release clause if we win and would he still then go to Widnes...go on, laugh lol!

There is a good reason as to why he is leaving and it’s not about the money. Say what you want but for me Gilmore as been the standout number 7 not just at Batley but the championship during his time at the club. He’ll take some replacing but CL is very shrewd in his recruitment.

☝️It's not. It is probably the best reason for leaving or joining any club!

As difficult as this is for me to say, I hope your guys do themselves proud on Sunday ........ You've had an amazing season all things considered and performed way above anything anyone had a right to expect...... Good on you lot !!!

Not many predictions about on here 🤭

This is going to be really tough, but the boys have earned their place in the final and I can't wait to celebrate their success at the end of the game, even if we lose, which seems likely, they have given us one hell of a season (again).

Let's give em hell Bulldogs!

Couldn't agree more. I am going with little expectation of a result (though I suppose one never knows) but I want to show my appreciation to the players for a quite outstanding season.

I can't wait for Sunday, I'm just so chuffed for everyone involved at the club.

Hope the lads can enjoy the occasion.

Over 6000 tickets sold and it promises to be a great end of season party.

Give 'em hell boys!

I’ll add my best wishes to the Club, it’s been a superb season, from the Newcastle Away fixture when everyone was tipping them for top 4 and we bossed them for 80mins,  you could tell that we were in for the same as last year, well organised, hard graft and some lovely skillfull play. They’ve been a joy to watch this year and I can’t wait for Sunday, I don’t expect us to win, I half expect us to get tonked but I wouldn’t be surprised if we win. Whatever happens I will sing my heart out for 80mins and enjoy every minute. Come on the Dogs
